Where accommodation makes the difference
It works for anyone starting a season on the coast, for anyone moving somewhere they know no one, for anyone taking a job where one month of rent costs more than half a paycheck. Almost every summer job on the coast, and many in Milan and Cortina, include accommodation.
On Restworld the room type (private or shared), the distance from the venue and whether it's included in your pay or deducted are written in the job offer. Before the interview, before you sign.
- Employment agency authorised by the Ministry
- Salary always shown in the job offer
- 100% specialised in food service and hospitality
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
It depends on the offer, and there are three common forms. Accommodation included in your pay, the most frequent. Accommodation with an agreed deduction in your payslip, usually 100-300 € a month between a private and a shared room. Accommodation in the venue's staff lodging for the whole season. If the offer doesn't make it clear, we ask the venue before passing you the contact: you reach the interview knowing the real terms. Accommodation isn't a separate contract: it's part of the normal employment contract.
When the offer specifies it, yes. You'll find the room type (private, double or shared) and, if the venue provides them, photos or a description too. When the information is missing, we ask the venue before passing you the contact: you know from the start, not after your first shift.
The average salary for a chef de partie in Italy is around €2,008 net per month, with a median of about €1,700, according to Restworld's hospitality salary observatory. When accommodation is included, you add the saving on rent to your net pay, which in tourist cities is worth several hundred euros a month. The real range depends on experience, type of venue and number of shifts.
The reference is the CCNL Turismo (FIPE) national contract for hospitality and food service, with levels from the 6th (entry) to the 1st (department responsibility). Hotels and resorts follow the CCNL Settore Turismo. Accommodation doesn't change the employment contract: pay stays the one set by your level, while board and lodging are an extra benefit. On the worker rights page you'll find practical guides on levels, hourly pay, overtime and holidays.
Three things. First: pay is always shown in the offer, on other portals almost never. Second: we're a recruitment agency authorised by the Italian Ministry of Labour, so every offer goes through a check before it goes online. We know who's hiring, how the accommodation is set up, whether the contract is proper. Third: we focus only on restaurants and hospitality, not a generalist that throws cooks, warehouse workers and call centres into the same pot. More than 200,000 professionals have already chosen Restworld.
