Why it exists

The industry needs data, not complaints

Restaurateurs, workers and institutions need to understand what the market is really offering. With over 5,000 positions with declared salary, Restworld is in a position to fill this gap. Three principles guide every report:

  • Real data, not declared post-hoc

Salaries published in actual job listings, not survey responses. What we see is what the market is really offering.

  • Quality filter

Positions below legal thresholds aren't published on the platform. The dataset reflects the regulated, verified segment of the market.

  • Comparability

All salaries are converted to a monthly net equivalent over 12 months, to avoid distorted comparisons between contracts with 12, 13 or 14 monthly payments.

Methodology

How we read the data

The detailed methodology is at the start of every report. Here's the summary.

  1. 01

    Only positions with declared salary

We exclude from the analysis positions with hourly rates, anomalous values or incomplete data.

  2. 02

    Only regulated listings

The dataset reflects the regulated segment of the market, not the entirety of the sector where undeclared work remains widespread.

  3. 03

    Monthly net equivalent

All comparisons use the annual net pay divided by 12, to ensure comparability across contracts with different monthly payment structures.

  4. 04

    Geographic comparisons on full-time only

Tables by area show only positions at 40 hours per week, to avoid distortions from the differing weight of part-time work.
