Incredible, authentic food close to our apartment - exactly what we needed away from other touristy restaurants. So good that we came back two days in a row, and we had a good laugh with our waitress both times! Loved this restaurant so very much, hope we get to come back some day 😊

Delicious food and homey feeling. This little restaurant is really addictive!
Traditional Sicilian dishes with a modern touch. They only use Sicilian ingredients. The wines are also from Sicily. Don't miss spaghetti con la bottarga - this is probably one of the best dishes ones can get in Palermo!

AMAZING family-run restaurant in Palermo, where I got the best pasta I’ve had in my past two weeks in Italy and Sicily. All of our food was exceptional and the service was fantastic— owner made us feel extremely welcomed and introduced us to her family. This is for sure a hidden gem, I would think it would be packed on a weekend night but it wasn’t! Wish I had pictures of the food but we devoured everything in seconds.

Such an authentic local restaurant! We had the nicest dinner, delicious local wine and typical Sicilian dishes. Very friendly waitress. Welcoming , simple atmosphere. All we were looking for after avoiding a number of tourist traps on the way.

I ended up at U Babbio restaurant by mere chance and it's been a lovely experience. Despite the fact that there had been an exceptional power outage affecting the area from the morning, these unforeseen circumstances didn't prevent the restaurant owners to be able to offer their customers delicious food for lunch on a more limited menu. The lady who runs the restaurant and her daughter listed the options available - all extremely tempting - and I went for the Busiate (home-made fresh pasta typical from Trapani area) with fresh clams, red prawns, courgettes and garlic. It was a fabolous dish, accompanied by a nice glass of local white wine. To top it all, they recommended me a dessert that I'd never tried before, a watermelon mousse with dark chocolate flakes. Once the power finally came back (it was already early afternoon) and normality was restored, staff cheerfully celebrated the coming back to life of the coffee machine, by offering a round of complimentary coffees to the clients. The resourcefulness, friendliness of staff and great food quality deserve 5 stars for sure!
