We spent our honeymoon at Therasia and it was an unforgettable, deeply restorative, and exceptional experience. We booked a few night stay in May so while the weather didn’t allow us to spend as much time lounging outside, we still were able to fully enjoy all of the services and facilities Therasia had to offer.

From the moment the hotel’s shuttle met us at the main port (after proactive and helpful emails to coordinate pickup) we felt completely taken care of. Marta greeted us on arrival, gave us a friendly orientation to the island, and porters whisked our bags to our room. A warm welcome reception, a complimentary welcome drink, and close attention to our preferences set the tone for the entire stay.

The property is thoughtfully integrated with the natural landscape, and the sunset views from our room were serene and calming. We spent a whole day hiking the volcano and enjoying sulfur mud baths, then returned to relax in a space designed for quiet and restoration, which we took full advantage of.

The spa and sauna facilities are exceptional—spotless, thoughtfully designed, and offering a variety of pools and jets that deliver maximum relaxation. The wellness offerings were a highlight: Julia’s 9am yoga class felt personal and restorative, and we were fortunate to have essentially private sessions two mornings in a row since May is still considered a shoulder season and there were fewer guests onsite.

The food was delicious, and every staff interaction felt genuine and attentive. A wonderful breakfast, hot dishes to serve, and three fantastic restaurants helmed by Michelin star chefs… all in-house.

For anyone seeking a peaceful and holistic wellness retreat—close to nature, focused on relaxation, and staffed with thoughtful, caring people—Therasia comes highly recommended. 10/10

I give this a 5 star but with caveats - location is a 10, the right people at the hotel give great service, but the rooms are seriously dated. That said, it's expected with the challenges of the location for true modern luxury to occur. The two star Michelin veggie restaurant is a very cool modern design - but very different than the hotel. We had some issues initially and before we could sit for breakfast the next day the F&B manager came up to us and fixed some of our discrepancies.

Overall an incredible cool property but understand this is an "off the beaten path" luxury hotel so some renovations are not up to a luxury standard. The team will certainly work to make it right, that is for certain and for that I left happy.

Beautiful location for a relaxing Italian vacation for a few days. Amazing views and a nice pool and a spa. Rooms are nice but not amazing. Some wellness services free but many are not. For example yoga at 9 is free but for a fee later in the day. Silly. Several good restaurants on the property but expensive, even for the basics. Recommended for a 2-3 night stay.

I stayed at the Therasia a few weeks ago and longing to return when time permits!

Perfect haven for relaxation, the setting is truly divine, the views of the jutting rocks and islands are truly spectacular !

I have travelled extensively in Italy and I would say that the Therasia is a real hidden gem, exquisite food (michelin starred vegetarian dinner not to be missed!), wonderful service and such a good base to explore the Aeolian islands by private yacht

Thank you to the Therasia team in making our trip so special !

Best wishes

Exquisite hotel! The architecture, the views, the staff’s attention to detail and the amazing sunsets are second to none. My only small complaint is how cold the pools are - but the sea was a great temperature and we loved sitting by the cliffside enjoying the views. As for food, The breakfast every morning was my favorite part. They have two Michelin restaurants on site which are amazing. I wish the other food options were better, the casual restaurant and bar were very over priced for mediocre quality and poor/watered down cocktails. We mostly ate outside the hotel after trying the michelin restaurant but loved coming home every day to the pool side and hotel room. This gets 5 stars because of the service and beauty of the resort. Will definitely be back!
