We stopped at La Palud due to its convenient location right after the tunnel on the way to the French Alps.

Our experience was clearly below expectations for several objective reasons:
•	Table location: we were seated on the terrace in a high-traffic service area, with constant staff movement, making it difficult to have any sense of comfort during the meal.
•	Atmosphere: throughout the entire meal, a nearby customer maintained loud and intrusive behaviour, interacting across tables and repeatedly turning towards ours. When stopping during a long road trip, one reasonably expects a calm and comfortable environment. In this case, the atmosphere felt chaotic and poorly managed, closer to an informal, noisy setting than a proper restaurant experience. No intervention from the staff was observed.
•	Starter: a very basic dish (bread and cured pork) at a price that did not reflect the simplicity of what was served. Olive oil was not provided and had to be requested.
•	Main course (risotto for two): the rice was undercooked and the dish contained excessive liquid, which is inconsistent with the standard preparation of a risotto.

The total bill was €71, which, in our opinion, is not justified by the quality of the food or the overall experience.

Considering the location and the number of alternatives in the area, we would not recommend stopping here.

The experience did not meet what we would reasonably consider acceptable standards for this type of establishment.

The food was delicious, and the pizzas and pasta tasted fresh and authentic. However, the restaurant was extremely crowded, so I highly recommend making a reservation. Without one, you might end up sitting in the hallway or near the entrance, just like we did. The waiting time for the food was much longer than expected. I also found the prices a bit high for what we ordered—two pizzas (Vegetarian and Margherita), a tomato spaghetti, and Coke came to €56. Overall, the food was good, but the long wait, limited seating, and prices made the experience less enjoyable.

It’s a yes from us! Service was attentive with extremely friendly staff but the food is what we’re here to tell you about. Suggested by our hotel we were offered a set menu and it did not disappoint. Tapping into authentic Italian cuisine we dined on pastas and veal, all extremely flavourful so good in fact that I’m writing this review and now wanting to go again one more time!

I absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is outstanding, and every member of the staff is genuinely friendly and attentive. The food is simply delicious — full of flavor, beautifully presented, and always fresh. I was impressed by how quickly everything was served without compromising on quality. My sincere thanks to the whole team for making every visit such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended to anyone looking for great food and excellent service!

Absolutely great visit to this restaurant. We arrived too early but they seated us anyway and we were so grateful. We shared the artichoke quiche aperitivo and it was amazing. The menu was enormous, so it was a little worrying that the quality wouldn't be there, but we were wrong. Pizzas we're great, wine was fabulous selection, even by the glass, and the service was brilliant. Exactly, and I mean exactly perfect after a long day skiing.

We were warm and cosy, and by the time we left the whole place was RAMMED with people. Great atmosphere, have already booked to go again, even on this short trip!
