Pancrazio dal 1922 in Rome is a fantastic spot for a family meal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it perfect for a cozy dinner.

Tom, our server, was friendly and attentive, making our experience even better. The pasta and the pizza was delicious, We also enjoyed some great appetizers to share.

Overall, it’s a wonderful restaurant with great food and a lovely vibe. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rome!

absolutely absolutely absolutely DELICIOUS.

my partner and i are in rome for a leisure trip and we’ve heard loads about this restaurant and decided to give it a go. everything was 10/10!!!!!!!!!!! all the staff that we met, from the staff helping with the queue, to our server — everyone was so pleasant and helpful. we dont understand italian and our server very kindly explained the menu to us. i enjoyed EVERYTHING, especially the oxtail secondi — which melted in my mouth and exploded with complex flavours. dining in a “tunnel” was also a spectacular experience as my partner and i chatted about julius caesar.

i would come back to rome just to revisit pancrazio. cant recommend it enough.

Don’t always believe everything you see on social media - while the restaurant and interior looks lovely, when you sit in the archeological downstairs the tables are placed very close together, there’s little noise except from the sound of fans and no music. It felt difficult to have a conversation because of the proximity to other people and no background music. The food was still delicious and moderately priced.

Booked last minute and forgot to specify that we wanted to sit downstairs, so make sure you request this when booking as the location is the highlight! We did manage to have a look downstairs, but the upstairs and outdoor areas were still busy and had a great atmosphere.
The table mats were a nice touch, with interesting key facts about the building on them. Service was very good, with short wait times and the food arriving quickly.
Portions were a good size, making it great value for money, and the food was really comforting and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend!

I’m interrupting my dinner to make this review because the carbonara is that good. This is heavenly. Hanna was also a great, attentive waitress who recommended the dish, so she deserves credit.

(Update: we got the tiramisu for dessert. Also worth it. We may come back, we just saw the gnocchi pass by and were disappointed we don’t have a second stomach to store more food.)
