We went here for a nice dinner after completing the AV1 trek and had a fabulous meal. As others have mentioned the tagliatelle and steak were outstanding and we appreciated the generous portions post trekking! I wasn’t as crazy about the tuna tartar tacos but my husband liked them. We got in line around 6:45 pm to make sure we got a table at opening so I’d recommend doing that if you’re hungry and don’t want to wait. We’d absolutely eat here again when we return to Cortina!

What a find! No reservations but we got there early to stand in line for when it opens at 7 pm for dinner. Fabulous! Loved the servers, hostess, sitting outside, menu selection, variety of options and for sure the creative and delicious tiramisu dessert. Not to be missed!

Rístorante Ariston, Cortina, Italy. One of Cortina’s dependable restaurants, offering traditional Ampezzo cuisine like homemade pasta and game dishes. Service is generally efficient although it can occasionally feel rushed during busy periods. The restaurant has no reservation policy. While it is not the most innovative restaurant in town, Ariston stands out for its consistency.
I tried the Casunziei Ampezzani which is Cortina’s signature pasta, beetroot-filled ravioli served with butter, Parmesan, and poppy seeds which was descent.

The steak was particularly good as was the dessert. Ended up here after a very long hike with 3000 feet gain. Perfect ending to the day.

We went twice during our trip in Cortina. The pasta is chef’s kiss. Perfectly al dente, flavourful and generous portions. I also recommend the inverse tiramisu for dolce vita.
