This is everything you could want in a pizza.

Fast, hot, fresh, cheap, and most importantly exceptionally tasty.

The dough is flavourful, properly fermented, and the sauce is appropriately salty and not overly sweet. The crust has a gorgeous elasticity but still some structural integrity, a tough balance to strike. The toppings are generous even in the pizza a portafoglio.

Only drawback: on a hot day, the pizza a portafoglio is blazing hot and you might have to put it down to cool slightly before you walk away. It’s kind of inconvenient as there isn’t an obvious place to do that.

Also: I noticed in scrolling the reviews that three of the very few negative ones came from the same group of people who were upset they didn’t get their tomato sauce. Doesn’t seem to merit three separate 1 or 2-star reviews.

All in all, this pizza rocks and I’m very much looking forward to spending a mere £6 to get my mushroom portafoglio again.

Excelente!!!!! Amazing guy, making authentic pizzas that are appropriately priced. Super service and delish food! Once I had my first bite I felt teleporting to Italy. Grazie Mille!

The closest thing I’ve had to traditional Neapolitan pizza in London! Absolutely gorgeous. Incredible dough cooked perfectly with high quality toppings. Can’t believe they were two pizzas for the price of one. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return.

I’ve been a customer at Pummarola since day one and it’s hands down the best Neapolitan pizza delivery in Hackney. The quality is always spot on, the prices are reasonable, and with the 2 for 1 deal it’s such good value. Proper pizza, proper vibes, every time.

Very nice pizza and good value. Got the 6 pound mushroom folded pizza. High quality and quick service. Slightly hidden location. Reminded me of L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele pizzas
