Osteria Il Giardino di Barbano è un ristorante storico situato in Piazza dell'Indipendenza a Firenze, noto per la sua cucina toscana e il grande giardino interno.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff took the time to recommend a selection of dishes that paired perfectly together, making the entire dining experience feel carefully curated.
We were welcomed with a Prosecco aperitif and water, which was a lovely touch. The restaurant also offers a large wine selection, and the beer was excellent as well.
The Pasta and Pizza was absolutely delicious and the steak was cooked to perfection. To finish, the dessert was just as outstanding as the rest of the meal.
Overall, everything from the first welcome to the final bitte was great. We had a wonderful evening and a memorable dining experience.

I actually stumbled upon this restaurant completely by coincidence, and it ended up being one of my favourite dining experiences in Florence!

We started with a drink and some cured meats, which were lovely. The pizzas coming out of the kitchen looked absolutely amazing too, so I’m sure they’re well worth trying. The owner Zach was very kind and service overall excellent.

I went for the beef fillet with foie gras, and it was excellent — definitely a highlight and something I’d highly recommend.

Such a great find and somewhere I would absolutely eat there again.

Zach made our dinner absolutely wonderful- he was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind from the moment we sat down. The food and service were both excellent, and the whole staff made us feel right at home. If you’re visiting Florence for the first time, especially from out of the country, this is a must! Highly recommend.

Excelent food and service. Went twice with my family, and the food was abundant and very tasty. The tiramisu is one of the bests I had in all Italy. We were served by a waitress that spoke Spanish and was very kind to us, we felt very welcomed

This place is very underrated, the food is amazing, quick service, the staff very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The back garden is amazing for a quiet dinner away from all the noise pollution from the main roads and all the tourists.
