Great atmosphere, great music, and a great warm welcome by Umberto and Fridia the owners. A warm cosy bar inside with nice seats outside also, great for watching the world go by. We went for drinks before dinner and came back afterwards because they were so friendly. Thank you for making our first night in Ischia. Didn't try the food but it looked lovely for our next visit. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Emma and Cormac

There has to be a beer beachhead, in a country where wine is king. Where every table wine your uncle makes is integral to the meal. It's natural and they've been doing it for centuries. Not easy to find a good beer in a part of the country that specializes in wine. Maledetta Birreria is that beachhead. The proverbial hole in the wall with good beer. I believe they opened up in 2023. Still new. Still working things out, but my beer tastes were satisfied. Maybe the next step is to brew their own, like McSorley's Ale used to do. Haven't been to McSorely's since the 1980s. A few years back, after I started brewing my own beer, I just lost the taste for the global brands. My preferences are towards the more bitter, crisper beers. I tried three tap brews at Maledetta: A Belgian stout, My Antonia and a German lager. My Antonia and the German lager did not disappoint. And the Zingara went down well. If you want good beers, on tap (they have a wide selection of other brews too), this is the place. I went during the off season in November. Still had a good time.

The keys to a great beer bar are simple:
1. Serve a variety of great tasting beer
2. Have a welcoming ambience with good music and good vibes
3. Staff that love beer and know about what you are serving.
This place nailed all three! We stopped in for a nightcap, ended up staying for several and chatting with Fedra and Armando for a while. Loved everything about our experience. If you are in Ischia and looking for a tasty pint, this is a must try.

Great beer with assorted snacks to enjoy alongside. Great mix of music quietly in the background. Can’t ask for much more really…

friendly staff, great beer, and there's dart!
