Ristorante situato in Porečka ulica a Rovigno, Croazia.

A real Hidden gem, la mula ristorante was one of our highlights in Rovinj. Tucked away in a small, quiet, and incredibly charming little street, this cozy restaurant feels like a place you almost want to keep secret. The atmosphere is intimate, authentic, and wonderfully relaxing.

The staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful with recommending dishes. You can immediately feel the passion they have for both hospitality and food, and they made the entire evening feel special from start to finish.

The tuna tartar was honestly one of the best I have ever eaten. Incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and so balanced that absolutely nothing else was needed for it. The carbonara was also phenomenal and easily among the best I’ve ever had: rich, creamy, authentic, and packed with flavor without feeling heavy. The octopus gnocchi were another standout dish, especially thanks to the pesto, which was beautifully mild and perfectly complemented the octopus instead of overpowering it.

To finish everything off, we had the chef’s special tiramisu, and it tasted wonderfully fresh and homemade. Truly the perfect ending to an unforgettable dinner.

This truly feels like an up-and-coming restaurant that deserves far more recognition. If you are looking for an authentic Italian and memorable dining experience in Rovinj, this place is an absolute must-visit. We will definitely be coming back.

Not a great experience. The area was super busy but I was the only person there besides a table with what looked like another employee or owner.
My salad was wonderful and fresh. The pasta carbonara was not the best. Not much flavor and super thick and heavy. I felt more like a bother than like the inky paying client there. They say and ate and drank amongst themselves and forgot I was there.

We searched for la mula among the winding streets and were so lucky to find it. It’s a quiet spot perfect for a break from the quick pace. Wonderful wine and truly authentic food from the pre-bite tasting to our main course. If you want an experience this is a wonderful spot

Natasha was an absolutely wonderful host. The ambience and service is amazing. We forgot that the phone eats first except for the dessert!! Tiramisu was a must try! Edit we came back because it was so good. Carbonara the right way!!

A truly lovely little restaurant with an incredibly welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The host makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive, and the quality of the ingredients is outstanding — especially the fish, which is exceptionally fresh.

The food is simply to die for. If you visit, the swordfish is an absolute must — perfectly prepared and full of flavor. A wonderful place for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Istrian cuisine in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Highly recommended!
