An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish!

We celebrated our wedding here, in August, with a small gathering of 11 family members, and we honestly couldn't have chosen a better place. Everything was absolutely perfect, and we couldn't be more grateful to the wonderful owners for making our day so special.
The food was incredible, as always: delicious, authentic Italian cooking of the highest quality. The owner (Simona) was so helpful in putting together a special menu just for our celebration, and every single person commented on how amazing the food was. They even went out of their way to help us source a delicious cake from another Italian bakery, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Simona truly went above and beyond. She decorated the restaurant with beautiful flowers, fairy lights and candles, creating the most romantic, elegant and intimate atmosphere. Having the restaurant entirely to ourselves made the occasion feel incredibly special, and the care and attention that went into every little detail meant so much to us.
What really stood out was the genuine warmth, attentiveness and generosity of the staff throughout the whole experience. The service was exceptional, and the prices were remarkably reasonable for the quality of the food and the level of care we received.

We were genuinely blown away by the entire experience. If you're looking for somewhere to celebrate a small wedding, a special family occasion or an intimate gathering, we couldn't recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Simona, thank you for helping make our wedding day so memorable!! We'll always look back on it with such fondness!

The food was excellent, really authentic Italian done properly. Everything we had was full of flavour and clearly made with care –we ordered simple dishes but done very, very well. The pasta in particular was spot on.
Definitely recommend booking as it small but the atmosphere is cosy and relaxed to sit in and enjoy your evening
Service was friendly and easygoing, no fuss, just genuine and welcoming.
All in all, a really enjoyable night and definitely one we’ll be repeating.

The pizza was absolutely delicious — I haven’t had one this good in a long time. The dough was perfect, and the ingredients were perfectly balanced. I only regret ordering just one! I will definitely be coming back.

We stopped in to grab some takeaway food but then found out that they had tables to sit at, so we did. It turned out to be a very good experience and the pizza was wonderful. The owner was very friendly and kind. The only disappointment was that they were closed the following 2 days and we wanted to return to try their pasta but we didn’t get the chance because we had to leave Wicklow. If ever in Wicklow, I can highly recommend La Locandina, it is great and the pasta being served to others looked wonderful. The restaurant is run by 2 Italians, so the food is authentic.

The experience was like feeling at home. We were welcomed very warmly, and they found a great alternative on their menu to prepare a meal suitable for my lactose and gluten intolerance. The food quality and taste were amazing. It was an authentic Italian restaurant. The woman treated us like her own children and it was very pleasant talking to her. However, the restroom had no soap, and the food took a while to arrive.
