On a long weekend holiday, we found this beautiful restaurant (and accommodation) in the community of Elva, in Valle Maira. It is not easy to get there but most definitely worth the effort. Expansive mountain views, extraordinary on this glorious Liberation Day Friday, are an added bonus.

Within a small, totally renovated borgata, the stunningly designed restaurant is elegant, warm and welcoming. Despite only booking just before arriving we were greeted with a friendly smile. The menu, based as much as possible on local product, offers variations on classic Piemontese dishes as well as stylish alternatives. Vegetarians are also very well catered for. The wine list is not huge but well selected and, indeed, very good considering the location. It was very pleasing that a couple of different Alta Langa sparkling wines were offered, instead of the ubiquitous Prosecco or Franciacorte from further afield. A bottle of Contratto Alta Langa matched the festive feel of the day.

The food is delicious and well presented, the dishes featuring simple, fresh ingredients, made very well, the mark of a talented chef. Special mention for the cavolfiore fritto con insalata - delightful.

Throughout, service was friendly, charming and efficient, the best kind of service. It added greatly to our experience. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and the level of service.

Highly recommended!

We tried our luck with this place in search for a place to eat lunch in Elva on a public holiday in April 25. To our surprise we got into this fantastic location, in a stunning restaurant room (sala), nothing less than Michelin star, a place built in bioedilizia, with a high degree of comfort inside, and a discrete, non intrusive lighting.

On the food side, I had cipole ripiene carne e verdure su crema di zucca - a fine dish, le ravioles di valle Maira in burro with a delicate sage flavour. And semifreddo alle amarene as a desert. And a bottle of Contratto Alta Langa.
All served with a friendly smile and pleasant efficiency. Beautiful food at a more than reasonable price. Very pleased with our luck.

This hotel is truly magical, and my weekend stay was absolutely unforgettable. The photos don’t even come close to capturing its charm. From the impeccably designed decor and breathtaking mountain views to the delicious homemade food, every detail exceeded my expectations. The hospitality was exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a perfect experience. I can’t wait to return!

We had lunch, and it was a fantastic experience. They opened the restaurant us when we showed up without pre-booking, and were lovely the whole time. The food is incredible, and the place is stunning with old furniture brought to life with great taste. And a view of the mountains doesn't spoil it.

Such a treat! Beautiful place with attention to every detail. Large, comfortable rooms with everything you need - large balconies with beautiful view as well. Homemade dishes are delicious and created based on local recipes and knowledge, and with fresh, local products. Service, attention and friendliness is at the highest level. They go more than an an extra mile here! I highly recommend this place for people looking for a true treat.
