Ristorante enoteca a Montefalco, in Piazza del Comune 14. Propone cucina umbra e un’esperienza in un ambiente familiare e accogliente. Il locale risulta aperto a pranzo e a cena con chiusura il martedì.

Everything about this place oozes class. It was a friend's recommendation which definitely did not disappoint.
The waiting staff were quality, especially the woman who helped us with our choice of wine. She was attentive and hit the nail on the head when it came to our taste.
The food was outstanding and the desserts, my god, if I could use expletives, I would.
Then you've got the location: the restaurant sits in an old square (forgive me for not knowing which century's architecture) right in the middle of Montefalco. It was so relaxing and satisfying that my partner and I left feeling it was the best culinary experience that we'd had in a long time without any pretentious nonsense.
Just brilliant.

Spent an enjoyable evening at the restaurant. Food was very good and dessert was exceptional, but unfortunately was overcharged for a bottle of wine. One price on the wine list and another on our bill. Since we only noticed this once we got in the car, couldn’t do much about it. Overall, a lovely eating experience.

The "Chameleon Tables & Culinary Alchemy": hypnotic lava stones, onion magic, and more than 25 years of perfection! 🌋🧅

Located right in the main square at the very top of the beautiful borgo of Montefalco, Enoteca Alchimista is an absolute jewel.
Honestly, this place has likely been blowing the minds of thousands of hungry souls for over a quarter of a century, and it is incredibly easy to see why.

The Hypnotic Tables: The very first thing that grabbed my attention on the outdoor terrace was not even the menu, but the dining tables.
They are crafted by Domiziani using “pietra lavica decorata a mano” (hand-decorated volcanic lava stone). They are simply outstanding to look at, with vibrant colors that seem to shift and change like chameleons in the light. It was a beautiful, mesmerizing start to the evening. 🦎✨

The Food (a.k.a. Pure Alchemy): The cuisine here is simply sublime. The house takes phenomenal local products and ingredients and blesses them with a unique, personal touch of creativity.
Exhibit A: the "parmigiana alle cipolle" (onion parmigiana). It is absolutely mind-blowing and a complete revelation. The rest of the menu is equally brilliant and fully capable of satisfying even the most demanding of palates.

The Wine & The Team: The wine list is highly recommendable, with a great focus on local wines that reach sublime heights, depending entirely, of course, on how much budget you are ready to sacrifice to the wine gods! 🍷💸
The staff is efficient, incredibly kind, and moving as fast as humanly possible to keep everyone happy.

The Grand Finale: The ultimate touch of greatness came when the brilliant chef, Patrizia Magnino, personally paid a visit to our table. It was the perfect, beautiful closure to a flawless dining experience.

Highly recommended!

This was such a wonderful experience, we returned twice! The food was inventive and delicious. Combined with a lovely view of the piazza and a super attentive and kind group of people helping make your meal memorable. It was one of our favorite dinners in Montefalco and would definitely return. Do make a reservation and you’ll be treated like a member of the family.

Whether you dine inside and enjoy the charming interiors or outside in the beautiful piazza, the atmosphere is like a movie setting. The food is consistently delicious and beautifully presented and the staff are warm and very professional. Many speak some English if that is your preference.
