Run Away!

The hotel looks charming from the outside, but inside it is clearly in need of a thorough renovation. Previous guest feedback from several years ago already mentioned this, and unfortunately little seems to have changed.

I was moved to three different rooms, but none met my expectations. The first was very worn, with tired furniture and an uncomfortable bed. In the second, the toilet seat literally fell onto the floor. The third had a very outdated interior, and the cover around the light switch also fell off.

The corridors did not smell fresh, and the entrance near reception sometimes smelled of a church and at times of urine. I also found the reception experience rather unwelcoming; in my personal experience, the staff showed little warmth or friendliness.

An older hotel does not have to be luxurious, but basic maintenance, cleanliness, comfort and hospitality should be expected.

Very disappointing overall. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

Our stay here was excellent. After a few grueling days of TMB, we were happy we scheduled an extra rest day in Courmayeur. Our hotel was wonderful-every person was so helpful and friendly-especially our impeccably dressed gentleman at breakfast. There were so many throwback luxuries we enjoyed-the decor, the service and ambiance. We especially enjoyed the outdoor deck in the evenings with spectacular views in all directions.

Lovely old school Italian hotel, where they go the extra mile and are so lovely. Food is brilliant, location is perfect (2 mins to the lift) and rooms are spacious and comfy.
We will be back.

Super friendly staff and amazing service!
If there is ever an issue just ask the staff who will solve anything for you, if the menu doesn’t suit you they fix an alternative. If the bedsheets doesn’t meet your preferences they will fix an alternative!

The only areas for improvement is the spa area where the temperatures of the sauna and jacuzzi were a bit low. (The staff probably could have fixed that one too if I had thought to ask)

Thank you hotel Pavillon for an amazing week 😍

Great hotel and friendly staff. We came here for a ski weekend and really enjoyed our visit. The breakfast was delicious and the location is perfect for those wanting to be close to the cute town area also very close to the cable car up to the main ski area. I highly recommend a stay here!
