I recently dined at an Italian restaurant right in the city center of Trieste, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The location is definitely a big plus easy to find and perfect for a relaxed meal after walking around the city.
The food was good and well prepared, with solid flavours and decent portion sizes. While everything we ordered was enjoyable, nothing really stood out as particularly memorable or exceptional. It’s the kind of place where you can count on a reliable meal, but not necessarily a culinary highlight.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, which added to the positive atmosphere. However, the service could have been a bit more attentive at times, as we occasionally had to wait longer than expected to get their attention.
All in all, a nice spot for a casual meal in a great location worth a visit if you’re nearby, just don’t expect anything extraordinary.

Looked like a nice pizzeria, but the service was just a disaster. We asked three times to order pizza and something to drink. It Tool about a 20 minutes to get at least a drink and another 25 minutes to get the pizza. The pizza was not bad, but also nothing extra. Meanwhile nobody asked if need something more to drink or whaterver. But regarding the payment they were fast enough.

Great restaurant with delicious food and very reasonable prices. We really enjoyed our dinner here – everything was fresh, tasty, and served quickly. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Trieste and would happily come back again.

Pizza Mortadella e Pistachio was one of the best pizzas I’ve eaten even though I’m more in to tomato based pizzas
Belgradda yediğim Burratina mesela unutamıyorum. I like Napolitan style better.
IVE BEEN CRAVING A CARBONARA for 3 years ( last time I had it in London) it was amazing the portion tho was not enough for me☹️ (I splited with Francesca)
Tiramisu was somehow below my expectation. Overall a very good spot.
The staff was quite lovely as well. I ordered in Italian. Mi verrio un Nero e un tiramisu per favore hehehe

The pizza al Al Barattolo is amazing and the waitstaff ist friendly and accommodating. Sitting outside is a bit uncomfortable because of the many Pigeons that even jump on the table while you’re eating. The staff immediately helps so shoo them away though, so that’s nice. Definitely recommend eating here!
