I cannot say enough good things about Ago & Lillo Bistrot in Rome! From the moment we walked to our seats on the patio, the atmosphere was warm and effortlessly charming. The food was delicious and perfect. Appetizer bruschetta al pomodoro and both pasta dishes were beautifully presented and packed with incredible flavor. Beyond the affordable menu, the service was top-notch- and an amazing view to boot. Jess was our server and deserves all the praise!

The food was great and the overall experience was amazing. Our server Kalam did a great job was quick and very kind. Pizza margarita was amazing and quite big size considering the price.

My husband and I ate here on our honeymoon in March 2025. It was some of the best food we had while in Italy, and the Cacio e pepe is definitely worth ordering and it’s clear why they’ve won awards for it. We can’t wait to visit again on our next trip to Italy!

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! They recommended some lovely places for us to visit while in Rome.

(The only reason it took us so long to review is because we forgot the name of the restaurant and had to go hunting on Google Maps for it)

This place looks like a tourist trap because it’s right next to Vatican City but actually the food is really good. My server jess was also amazing. The pizza and Burrata were top quality.

Great location and the staff were superb, however the food was poor. Pasta was overcooked and the octopus was rubbery and inedible. We were asked was everything OK and we said the octopus was inedible and the waiter said sorry but just carried on. More expensive than anywhere else in the surrounding area. Need to up their game a lot.2€ a glass dearer than all surrounding bars and restaurants for prosecco and red wine
