After walking back and forth along the waterfront twice in this lovely little town, we ended up at this restaurant. The terrace was nicely busy, which gave the place a lively atmosphere. The staff was a bit hurried and rather direct when assigning us a table, and our order was taken quite briskly as well.

We started with two glasses of wine, a Caprese salad and vitello tonnato, followed by pasta dishes for the main course.

The pasta was okay, but what stood out most was that the dishes seemed to rely heavily on presentation, especially the starters, where the chef completely missed the mark. If I order a Caprese, I expect this very simple dish not to be overcomplicated. I expect a beautiful ball of mozzarella sliced properly, good tomatoes, generous basil, and quality olive oil. What I got instead was a rather sad-looking plate with a few tomatoes, a small ball of mozzarella, and a tiny bit of basil (€13).

The vitello tonnato was honestly just as disappointing. There was a clear attempt to give the dish some extra flair through presentation, but as you can see in the photo, it simply did not work (€14). The flavour itself was fine, but not particularly distinctive.

I looked through some other reviews of this restaurant and noticed that experiences seem to vary greatly. I think Laura and Paul could really take this place to the next level by keeping traditional dishes traditional and not trying too hard with the plating. That said, the location itself is very pleasant.

I’ve been here several times now and the food is always great. The Bruschetta is called Foccacia Bruschetta so yes it’s different from the original but still delicious. The Tuna Pizza has fresh tuna instead of canned tuna so yes it’s different from the original but so much better. We had Tagliata di Manzo, Ossobuco and a Hamburger and all were delicious. Service is friendly if you are.

contrary to the most common complaint on here which is a long wait, we have to say the service was good when we visited, considering it was Easter as well! the food was good and fairly priced.

…apparently 30 min wait is normal (in actuality it was 50 minutes).

We visited the restaurant for a Sunday lunch as a group of 6. Approximately half of the outside spots were filled, so not to busy. It took us 15 mins to get the attention of the waitress. Once we ordered, we waited eagerly for our food - and this was quite a while. Other guests that came 15-20 mins after us received the food, we did not. When we asked, we were told 2 more minutes (which turned out to be 20 mins). The waiter (he seemed to be responsible for the shift) out of the blue shouted that 30 mins wait for the food is totally normal - probably our faces said we were unhappy. While 4 out of the 6 received the food after a 50 min wait, the remaining 2 waited for an additional 10 mins. No apology, no discount, no nothing. The head waiter and the waitress actively ignored us for the remaining time, sending out the guys who did the dishes to serve, collect the plates and for the pay. Absolute childish and rude service. Besides the sour carbonara, the food was quite pleasant. Nevertheless, there are plenty of better restaurants in close proximity

Nothing to complain:) good pizza , good service, reasonable prices.
